Elise M. Farnham, CPCU, ARM, AIM, CPIW
Elise Farnham has extensive experience in the risk management and insurance industry. She is President of Illumine Consulting, a firm which focuses on providing education opportunities for insurance and risk management professionals, with applicability for other professionals, such as financial services professionals, architects and engineers, etc.
Elise began her career in the insurance industry in 1973 and worked as a multi-line adjuster. In 1978 she was promoted as the first female claims branch manager for Crawford & Company. She served in executive positions with Crawford & Company, GAB Robins, CSB Group, and The Harmonie Group.
She is a member of the CPCU Society and past Regional Governor, Past National President of the National Association of Insurance Women (International), and currently serves on the Board of the Registered Professional Adjusters’ Society. She is an associate member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society for which she serves on the professional development faculty, instructing three of their professional development programs. She serves on RIMS' Professional Development Advisory Committee. She serves on the CPCU, ARM, and AIC advisory panels for programs offered by the American Institute for CPCU and is a past member of its Board of Ethical Inquiry. She has been named National Claims Professional of the Year and Atlanta Insurance Woman of the Year.
She is an internationally recognized speaker and her articles have been published in Business Insurance, National Underwriter, Claims Magazine, CPCU Claims Section Quarterly, Claims Advisor, CPCU Risk Management Interest Group Newsletter, Today’s Insurance Professional and Insurance International (published in the UK.)

Brian Wagner, Esq. is an attorney with Mateer & Harbert in Orlando, FL. Mateer & Harbert is a mid-sized, full service firm with a defense orientated litigation department, handling professional liability cases as well as casualty cases in which he represents insurance carriers in defense and prosecution of fraud claims. Brian Wagner’s particular practice focuses on insurance fraud and SIU litigation. Prior to joining Mateer Harbert, Brian had been practicing at a large insurance defense firm for approximately 9 years, and he has given lectures on a wide variety of topics regarding first party claims and fraud, including PIP claims, homeowners claims, auto theft and arson fraud and medical claims fraud.
Brian earned a B.A. in History from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and J.D. from University of Nebraska College of Law. He is a member of The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association.

Insurance Fraud, Claims Practices and Bad Faith
Jay M. Feinman, Distinguished Professor at Rutgers School of Law, Camden, NJ
Jay Feinman is Distinguished Professor of Law at Rutgers School of Law, Camden, where he teaches Insurance Law, Contracts, Torts, and Business Torts.
His many publications include Delay, Deny, Defend: Why Insurance Companies Don’t Pay Claims and What You Can Do About It (Portfolio/Penguin, 2010); Law 101: Everything You Need to Know About the American Legal System (Oxford University Press, 3rd ed. 2010); Professional Liability to Third Parties (American Bar Association, 2nd ed. 2007); and more than fifty scholarly articles. His scholarly work has been widely cited in the academic literature and by courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Feinman received his B.A. degree summa cum laude from American University and his J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Chicago, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Comment Editor of the University of Chicago Law Review.

Dilip Khatri, Ph.D, SE, of Khatri International
Dilip Khatri, Ph.D., P.E., S.E. is a Principal of Khatri International Structural and Civil Engineering firm in Pasadena, CA.
Dr. Khatri has twenty eight years of civil engineering experience involving land development, subdivision, commercial, residential, multi-family, industrial, and educational facilities. Design, construction, and overall management of major infrastructure improvements comprising sewer, water, storm drain, flood control, and grading design.
Dr. Khatri has been working with Insurance Carriers over the past 17 years involving various areas of casework including, Forensic Structural Engineering, Structural Design/Engineering Reconstruction, and Construction Cost Estimating and Project Management. He also has extensive environmental experience including, Geotechnical and Soils Issues and Earthquake/Seismic Evaluation of Existing Buildings and PML Reports. He earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University Of Southern California, a MBA from the University Of Southern California and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the California Institute Of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering from California State University in Los Angeles. Dr. Khatri as published over 40 papers, two textbooks, and served a Professor of Civil Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, for 8 years, and is also a contributor to the History Channel and National Geographic documentary series.
